I have lived in the Peak District village of Tideswell for over 20 years and run my various businesses from there, including Jaret House B&B.

Before starting a life of freelance excitement I have taught Geography to somewhat reluctant teenagers and worked for the Peak National Park's environmental centre. Both jobs set me up for my current precarious lifestyle of teaching map and compass skills to outdoor enthusiasts and leading walking holidays as well as writing and taking photographs. I design web sites for small tourism businesses too.
